Dr. Meera Harhay
Dr. Harhay is a transplant nephrologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine.
Dr. Harhay completed her undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University in 2003; completed her medical degree, an internal medicine residency, a nephrology fellowship, and a transplant nephrology fellowship all at the University of Pennsylvania by 2014, after which she joined the faculty at Drexel.
During her nephrology fellowship, Dr. Harhay also completed a master’s of clinical epidemiology and biostatistics and has since published dozens of peer-reviewed articles on kidney disease and transplantation. Her research is currently supported by NIH funding from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases.

Dr. Leal Herlitz
Dr. Herlitz is an Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist and the Director of Medical Kidney Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Herlitz completed her undergraduate degree at Swarthmore College in 1999; completed her medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2004; then completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical pathology followed by a fellowship in Renal Pathology both at Columbia University Medical Center by 2009, where she remained as faculty prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic in 2014.
She is board certified in both anatomic and clinical pathology. She also engages in collaborative basic science and clinical research and is an author on over 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She has recently assumed leadership of the pathology thread at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine with the goal of helping to highlight pathology as one of the career paths open to medical students.
